Our Story

Love Thy Family Project was co-founded by Charles “Paige” Clayton, inspired by the life and legacy of his mother, Edna Christine “Tina” Serette. Tina was a hard-working, low-income mother who embodied strength, faith, and unconditional love. Though she faced many challenges of her own, she never hesitated to open her heart and her home to others in need.

Whether it was a struggling teenager, someone battling addiction, women facing hardship, or simply a neighbor who had nowhere else to turn, Tina welcomed them with open arms. She poured into people’s lives with compassion, prayer, and encouragement— helping them find healing, stability, and hope. Many who came to her broken left renewed, forever changed by her love and her faith in God.

Tina’s greatest passion was pointing people to Christ. She was a strong believer who spoke openly about her faith, prayed with others, and led them to church whenever she could. No matter her own financial struggles or personal trials, she remained steadfast in her mission to share God’s love.

The Love Thy Family Project was born out of this same spirit—to continue her legacy of giving, faith, and love. Today, we serve families facing financial challenges by providing them with uplifting experiences — like family dinners and special outings — that strengthen their bonds and remind them they are not alone.

Guided by faith and fueled by love, we carry Tina’s heart into every family we serve.

Every mission has a heart behind it — and for Love Thy Family Project, co-founder Stoney Courville honors his grandmother Idell Benoit Courville.

From the very beginning, Idell lived out the values of faith, family, and hard work. She became both mother and father to her grandson, Stoney, when he was just six days old. With unwavering love and guidance, she raised him in a home built on strong Christian principles.

At the age of ten, Stoney wanted a lawn mower.  Instead of simply giving it to him, she taught him to work for it — a powerful life lesson that shaped his drive, work ethic, and character.  She was more than a caregiver; she was a true professor of life, instilling values that would last for generations.

Idell was deeply involved in her church and made it her mission to share the love of Jesus with everyone she met.  Her home was always open — Sundays were filled with the smell of home-cooked meals and the sound of family and friends gathered around the table. She created a place where everyone felt welcome, loved, and cared for.

Her legacy of faith, generosity, and community is a cornerstone of Love Thy Family Project. The values she lived out every day continue to inspire the work we do — uplifting families, nurturing strong leaders, and spreading the love of Christ.

Paige and Stoney always agreed on one main principle about these ladies:
“They always gave more than they could afford to give.”

Meet the Founders

Every mission begins with a journey — and for Paige and Stoney, that journey started back in 1993, when the two began working side by side. They started from the very bottom, earning just $5 an hour, putting in the hard work and dedication that would define their partnership for decades to come.

As the years went by, they moved up together — step by step, promotion by promotion. Their first big break came when they both earned positions making $40,000 a year, complete with company trucks and phones. It was a milestone moment that reflected years of grit, loyalty, and faith.

In 2006, Paige and Stoney took a leap of faith and started their first company together. From that point forward, they have been business partners since day one, building several successful businesses through shared values of faith, integrity, and taking care of people.

Their story is one of humble beginnings to abundant blessings.  Growing up with very little, they understand firsthand what it means to struggle — and what it means to be blessed through perseverance and God’s favor. Now, they feel a deep calling to give back.

Through Love Thy Family Project, they’re channeling their success into blessing families who may not have the means to enjoy special experiences together — like a family night out — and mentoring young men to become strong fathers and leaders.

They firmly believe that many of today’s struggles among youth — including crime, drugs, and broken homes — stem from the absence of fathers in the home. Their mission is to empower men to step up, lead with love, and be the fathers their children need, no matter the situation.

Paige and Stoney's journey is a testament to what faith, hard work, and generosity can build — and now, they’re using their blessings to build up others.
